This is a call center style headset that plugs into your USB port and has a single ear cup, it is designed for speaking and being on calls while leaving one ear free. It can be used for Skype or any communication protocol. Mic audio is recorded directly from the headset itself, you can see it is a bit flat but functional and the headset is comfortable if you have a hat under it. Without a hat I felt it could use more cushion or an extra foam pad on the side that clips over your ear to your head. It also was a bit loose on my head with the smallest setting without a hat, but fit perfectly while wearing a hat.
