Monster Hunter World takes advantage of 3D Surround even with 3.5mm earbuds that support 3D Surround like the Dodocool ones I use that are listed in the video, you have to configure and enter settings to make Monster Hunter World use virtual surround sound.
This took me more time than I would have liked, the Getting Yolked in the Forest quest where you have to deliver 2 Wyvern eggs was tough until I figured out you can’t get the egg back to Camp 2, and have to go back to original camp. The ghili was needed for me to stay hidden from the Rathian long enough to complete the quest. Took 3 attempts before fine tuning my path and finally beating this optional quest in Monster Hunter World.
