How Good is the Sades R2 Gaming Headset?

Sades R2 on Amazon: http://geni.us/WAZBR

The Sades R2 Gaming headset is a virtual 7.1 surround USB headset for PC gamers that features very soft ear cushions and an excellent sounding mic for the price. This headset was used extensively for testing Shadow of War, Elite: Dangerous, No Man’s Sky, Star Traders: Frontiers and other games and the virtual surround does indeed do a decent job of making you hear sounds behind you like orcs coming up on you. It is simulated surround not true 7.1 surround so it probably won’t help if you really need to hear footsteps in e-Sports FPS gaming but for the casual gamer it is more than sufficient.

Sades R2 is my favorite USB gaming headset under $50 currently due to comfort, sound quality and mic quality. Though the flexible mic doesn’t always stay put and had some issues with bending and twisting it the way I wanted it.
